About Our Classroom

¡Bienvenidos!  Welcome to class!  My name is Srta. Skobel, and I will be your 7th Grade Spanish 2 teacher.

Here are some of our most important goals this year:

  • understanding the main ideas behind written and spoken Spanish,

  • spontaneously interacting in Spanish, and

  • presenting prepared written or verbal information to an audience.

In the sections below, you will find specific course information and expectations.

Daily Required Materials:

  • a folder that is only used for Spanish

  • unit packets and vocabulary lists (please treat this like a textbook)

  • pens/pencils (replaced as needed)

  • assignment notebook

  • homework

Homework

Students will be assigned homework on a frequent basis.  Homework will be due the next day at the start of class unless otherwise specified.  Late homework is not accepted (unless the assignment is late due to an excused absence).

Make Up Work

If a student is absent, he or she will pick up notes and/or missed work upon return to school.  The student is responsible for completing and submitting all missed work (past and present) to the turn-in bins in class.  Any assignments given before the absences are due upon the student’s return.  For work assigned during the absence, the student will have one day per day of absences to make up the work.  If the student is absent on the day of an assessment, he or she will be expected to take the assessment upon his/her return.
